Facilities available at Norden Farm

Norden Farm Centre for the Arts boasts superb, high tech facilities ideal for business conferences, meetings and training sessions. It is also popular with local arts groups and touring companies for staging performances or displaying exhibitions. The Courtyard Theatre

Norden Farm's largest performance space, the Courtyard Theatre, seats 225 in its usual format, although the staging and seating are flexible and can accommodate up to 265 people. The Theatre benefits from a superb acoustic, beautiful wooden balconies and of course, high specification technical facilities.

The Theatre is used to mount a huge range of performance activities, both by professional companies, local arts groups and young performers through our programme of participatory workshops. It is also equipped with high quality 35mm film projection, which enables our regular programme of film screenings to take place.

Studio Theatre

Norden Farm's second performance space has a maximum capacity of 100, and like the Theatre hosts a wide range of performance by local and incoming groups. Particular features of the Studio programme include regular folk music events, our 'Live Literature' programme of readings and discussions with published writers and regular theatre shows for children.

It is equipped with dance mirrors and a fully sprung, light maple floor so also hosts our youth dance group, Norden Exposure as well as some of our other workshop activities.

Long Barn

The Long Barn is a multi-purpose venue which holds up to 80 people and benefits from its unique setting in our 18th century barn. The timber framed barn offers an unusual and interesting environment for activities, and is used for youth activities, business meetings, training and receptions and occasional concerts, as well as visual arts classes and workshops.
