1157 are an artist lead company founded in 1995 by performers Jo Dagless and Matthew Scott. Since inception, 1157 have created a powerful body of work. The work is idiosyncratic, texts inspire new creations, theatrical compositions that fearlessly fuse text, biography, film, sound, light, image and movement.

1157 create touring theatre pieces, site specific works and commissions, aiming to create progressive theatrical experiences that are unique and unconventional.
