work experience

Norden Farm has a strong commitment to encouraging young people to become involved in the arts, and we do have an active work experience policy. Placements are usually for one week and we can offer students experience with Front of House, Box Office, Marketing and Administration and Technical . However, it is possible to spend a placement in one particular department if preferred. Please note that we are not able to offer placements in performance, set design, wardrobe, stage make-up or stage management. We aim to give students an oversight into the way a busy Arts Centre operates and therefore some evening sessions are likely to be scheduled.

Whilst most work experience placements are for secondary school students, we also welcome applications from students in further or higher education, or from recent graduates seeking longer term voluntary placements.

We believe that if work experience is to be delivered properly, it does require a significant amount of staff time and consequently we do have to limit the number of placements we offer per year.
